Leslie Kawai

RBL Principal

Leslie is a principal with the RBL Group. She is an experienced executive coach who combines cognitive-behavior research and leadership development to help leaders and organizations drive business results through high performance.

Leslie Kawai is a principal consultant and executive coach with The RBL Group where she works with organizations worldwide as a leadership development strategist and program designer to develop high performance and agility.​

Leslie helps clients assess and develop learning and development programs that optimize cognitive, behavioral, and executive leadership skills to manage ambiguity, leverage complexity, and lead with agility. Leslie’s client list includes Walgreens-Boots-Alliance, Hyatt, American Express, Alcon, DOMO, Silicon Valley Bank, SaltStack, Global Education Allies, Silicon Slopes, Charter Manufacturing, NuSkin, and Inside Sales. ​

Leslie is a MENTOR® Master Trainer and coach. She has worked extensively with a private client list coaching high-level entrepreneurs and executives in developing and delivering high-stakes presentations.

Before joining the RBL Group, Leslie co-founded Leverage Communications and was an adjunct faculty member in the department of Organizational Leadership and Strategy at Brigham Young University’s (BYU) Marriott School of Business where she developed faculty training and learning-outcome-assessment models as the associate director of the management communications program. ​

Her work has been featured in Forbes and Execunet. Leslie’s master’s degree is from BYU’s acclaimed organizational-behavior program. She has also taught culture shock and communications curriculum courses as a guest instructor for international student programs in Chicago, Washington D.C., Boston, and New York.

Leslie has conducted research and written numerous articles addressing post-pandemic leadership expectation, including Leadership Code 4.0: An Evidence-based View of Effective Leadership.

Leslie is also passionate about social impact and has advised or served on the board of multiple nonprofit organizations.​
