When: Feb 06-07, 2018, 2018 Where: Los Angeles, California Who: Senior HR Leaders

The Challenge

Who has not heard about how digitalization is changing the business world in general, and HR in particular?  New technologies include artificifical intelligence, robots, cloud data, automation, machine learning, internet of things, and so forth.  Making sense of the hype and the reality; the present and the future; and the ideas and application are critical for HR professionals.

This think tank will demystify and organize these various technological innovations so that they can be better understood both for new business models and for HR actions.  On day 1, Dr.  Bratin Saha will facilitate a discussion about deep technical and process expertise, as well as product and business strategy.  He is VP of Nvidia (formerly Intel), has over 100 software patents, has been instrumental in shaping the technology revolution, and a proven track record of innovative software products.  Participants will leave with a way to think about and the role of machines in performing and doing work.

On day 2, Dave Ulrich will help participants adapt technology innovations to delivering HR.  Digitization is shaping HR through four phases: Phase 1 is performing HR practices more efficiently (e.g., insourcing HR service centers through automation); phase 2 is the onslaught of HR innovations in all HR practice areas (people, performance, communication, work); phase 3 is accessing and using information to deliver business results; and phase 4 is forging connections among people. We will talk about these four phases and share innovations to improve in each.

HR professionals who attend this think tank will be better able to engage their business leaders in the company digital strategy.  They will help audit how technology can improve their business performance.  In addition, they will be able to craft and implement an HR digital strategy that delivers real value.

This session is intended for CHROs, Senior HR Leaders, Line Managers, HR Business Partners, or other HR Professionals who are responsible for adapting technology to delivering HR solutions. Each RBL Institute member company may send up to 3 participants to this session.
