Using Analytics in HR

When

Sep 23, 2010

Innovative HR functions continually look for new ways to play a more strategic role in their organizations and help their company grow by making better business decisions.  One of the ways HR does this is through the application of analytics – using data to drive better decision making.  A number of HR functions are building capability around analytics through the application of quantitative, diagnostic, modeling, and forecasting tools along with the requisite skills to uncover new insights to drive improved organization performance on the people side of the business.  The use of analytics enables HR professionals to not only evaluate the effectiveness of its work, but also to penetrate challenging business situations, assess historical and current performance, identify key improvement opportunities, evaluate the impact of various alternatives, and provide objective viewpoints to business leadership.

This Mini-Forum will look at what other RBL Institute member companies are doing around the use of analytics within HR, what new capabilities are required to be effective applying analytics, and the areas of opportunities for both HR and the business through the use of analytics.
