Attracting Talented Employees
On July 1 we held an RBL Institute mini-forum on the topic of Attracting Talented Employees. The attached paper is a summary of that discussion.
Our Premise: The recent global recession (leading to downsizing and more people looking for work) has temporarily led to reduced hiring in most, but not all
industry sectors. As businesses slowly recover we foresee a greater need to add talent, in particular for HR leaders in the
emerging markets. The rapidly changing business environment is placing new demands on how we identify both whom we want to recruit as well as how to best go about it.
KEY QUESTIONS COVERED
• Are you hiring, and if so, who?
• What is your assessment of the current marketplace for talent and what specific challenges is your organization facing in attracting talented employees, especially as it relates to
the emerging markets?
• What are you specifically doing to make sure you have the organizational capabilities to attract talented employees (now and into the future)?
• What are you doing to link your employee/employer brand to your efforts to attract talent?
